Included in the price of LGT CHEROKEE'S full LGT course are adult and pediatric CPR masks, a high quality whistle, and a Lifeguard Hip-Pack
Pre-Course Test  
*Swim 300 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using the front crawl (freestyle), breaststroke, or a combination of both but swimming on the back or side is not allowed.  
*Treading Water - Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs. Candidates should place their hands under their armpits.
*Timed Event - Starting in the water, swim 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive 7 - 10 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point, holding the object with both hands, place object on deck and exit the water without using a ladder or steps within 1 minute, 40 seconds. (No goggles)

You must present proof that you will be 15 years old by the last scheduled session of the course.
Bring meal(s), snacks, water, suit, sunscreen, goggles, and towels

7 Hours online must be completed in a timely manner before the end of the course.

**NOTICE (PLEASE READ IF REGISTERING): This course is offered only as Blended Learning, meaning part of the course work is done online. After successful completion of the precourse evaluation, you will be provided with a voucher which includes a link to American Red Cross Learning Center and the books needed for the course. You will receive this link upon successful completion of your pre-course skills assessment. You will be fully refunded if you do not pass the precourse assessment.

The precourse evaluation consists of : 25 yds freestyle/front crawl, 25 yds back crawl, 25 yards breast stroke, 25 yards side stroke, 25 yards elementary back stroke, 15 yards crawl at the beginning level 4 learn to swim. If you are not familiar with any of these stroke, youtube has many videos you can use for reference. You will also be required to float for 1 minute and tread water for 1 minute.
Included are the pre test, at least 30 hours of on-site and video conference instruction and an additional online portion to be completed as assigned. YOU MUST ATTEND ALL CLASSES, successfully complete instruction experiences, pass written test(s) with 80 or above, demonstrate front crawl (freestyle) , back crawl (back stroke), breast stroke, side stroke, elementary back stroke, and butterfly at a learn to swim level 4 or better. FAILURE TO COMPLETE ANY PART OF THE COURSE (ONLINE OR ON-SITE) WILL RESULT IN THE CANDIDATE NOT OBTAINING CERTIFICATION.
